I read a book called The Answer is in Your Bloodtype.  It links your blood type to diet, disease, longevity, and compatibility.  You can see it on 4blood.com.  They are both great books, but The Answer is in Your Bloodtype incorporates Dr. D'Adamo's findings into their own research which is startling.  It says the Japanese, who now enjoy the longest life span in the world, are going to start living shorter lives in direct proportion to their beef consumption. This book claims to know how long each blood type lives.  Is this real.  If it is, it's scary.  Thanks.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)I'm glad hearing from you.  Also thank you for your valuable informaion.  I'm going to order the book soon.  I am now wondering of beef comsumption and life span. Because Japanese life span is becomming longer, not shorter.

Please translate some of the articles in your Japanese homepage into English. Although I can guess some Japanese (I'm a Chinese), I really want to know more.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail. Sorry, I don't have much time to traslate. I hope translation software becomes much better.
Anyway, I translate essential part of the Japanese version. Different part is this: most Japanese (also some Asian) people already know "blood type and personality" while most EnglishIspeaking people aren't. This may affect the impression of each versions.

What's the relations between 'type substance' and antigens? Does it mean the more antigens you have in your blood, the more 'type substance' you have in your body? And is it correct that the faster your blood reacts to the antibody of your type (like B antigen to B antibody), the more antigen you have in your blood? Thanks.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail.  I completely agree with you. We have around one million ABO active antigens per one red blood cells.   Numbers varies from person to person.

What do you mean by HLA? What's the difference between it and ABO bloodtypes? Reading some of your excerpt articles is so boring, so can you explain it to me in a more easy-understanding?

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail.  ABO system is the blood type of "red" blood cells.  HLA is "white" blood cells.   Red cells carries oxgen from lungs to our bodies. White cells' antibodies protect our bodies from invaders like micro organisms and viruses.  If you want to know more, please visit this website: Puget Sound Blood Center.

I am AB with AB, I believe blood types get along better with their same type. I have read a book in the states that claims this also.  The Answer is in Your Bloodtype, have you heard anything about Blood Type being linked to longevity and diease?

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail.  Some people say that the same blood type people get along better with their same type.  This is right, sometimes, but not always.  As far as I know, there are several experiances of ABO system (and HLA) that shows contradictory results.  I think the results depend on situations.  In Japan, several experiences showed that a group of the same blood type is not suited for (usual?) jobs.  This may suggest that the group of the same charactristics is not good for jobs ...  But HLA system showed the opposite results.  I don't know why.
We find many statistic evidences that clearly show the relationship between blood types and logevity and/or disease.  In general, Type O is (very) slightly registive to diseases.  Specific disease, such as TB, Type O is most resistive. But Type O is weak to cholerla and abdomenal cancer (ulcer).  Type A is weak to (usual) cold.  Type O is weak to inflenza (Type A2).  Type A may be resistive to the black plague...   Numerous researches have been performed.

I am from China Mainland where Mr.NOMI's two books-BLOOD TYPE AND PERSONALITY and BLOOD TYPE AND LOVE-are available.
My father is type AB and my mother is type O,so I was hit by a strange disease called HEMOLYSIS which only happens when mother's type is O and offspring's type is A or B. Can you get some information about that? Thanks.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail. I am very glad and surprised that Mr. Nomi's books are available also in Mainland China.
Hemolysis occures (note: not always) when an offspring has antigens that its mother doesn't have.  In this case, your mother (Type O) has no Type-A (or Type-B) antigen that you (Type A or B) have.  Therefore your mother's antibody (anti-A or anti-B) attacks your antigen.  The same phenomenum occures when the mother is Rh- and the offspring is Rh+.  But, these problems are in the past.  If the appropriate medical methods are taken, there are virtually no problems now.

My blood type is AB and I read about it. It was quite interesting to read. It said AB type of person is not emotional; however, I am a very emotional person. I think you cannot say most of AB people are cold.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail. I am happy because you enjoy my pages.

Needless to say, you are right. The characteristics of TYPE AB people (from Mr. Nomi) are:

Let's explain a little bit, because this is an important point.
Of couse, AB people are emotional, too.  The way people express their feelings differs by blood type.  AB's usually doesn't express their feelings much toward the society.  They are controlling feelings due to high social conparticipation mind. Conversly, AB people sometimes put out their feelings straightly to their family members and/or close freinds, because effort of society participation is not needed.
You may think that such traits are highly common among all blood types.   Yes, you are right.  It is the question of comparison.
I think that feeling itself is not intense in comparison with the other blood types.
As I wrote here, the common sense of personality is far different from the common sense of blood type.  I am thinking of writing a little more clear explanation, in the near future.

It was fun to read.  I enjoyed reading with my friends.  I just thought  that there is a little bit stereotype in that article.   Anyway, thanks for the interesting one.

Red_Arrow38.gif (101 バイト)Thank you for your e-mail. I am happy because you enjoy my pages.

>I just thought  that there is a little bit stereotype in that article.

What you have pointed out is right. You will find the difference between English and Japanese pages (if you can read Japanese pages on your computer). Most of Japanese people know "Blood type humanics" but the others don't.  So I have to explain it on English pages.  This is the reason you feel "a little bit stereotype" in my (English) pages.
The difference of personality by blood type is small than expected --  It is only about 10 to 20 % at most. For examle:

The data (table 18, pp.71) from "Shin ketsueki-gata ningen-gaku" (New blood type humanics) published in 1978. Results of a questionnair to first-class Japanese atheletes (exact dates were not specified). The ratios of athletes who choose "Do the best for Japan" in the international game.

Blood type Number of persons Ratio
O 58 people 13.8%
A 73 people 13.7%
B 51 people 9.8%
AB 22 people 0.0%

It is the order of O=A>B>AB as expected. To my surprise, the ratio of Type AB is 0! Type-AB people doesn't identify themselves with their country -- Japan.

If you want to know other data, please read Hypothesis.  And if you have any questions, please let me know.
