コンピューターの性能の向上は目をみはるものがあります。以前は完成予想図としてパース（透視図）が描かれていましたが、最近ではデザインを検討するための有用なものとしてCG（コンピューターグラフィック）パース（透視図）が使われています。

デジタルエスキース優秀賞作品（ｂｙ 福田 一志）デザイン発想の新たなる可能性（The new possibility of the design idea）
近年PCの性能の向上と建築デザインに対する閉塞感から、コンピュータをデザインにおける発想支援のために用いる気運が高まっています。 デザインがデザイナーのもつ抽象的なイメージを形に変換する作業であるとすれば、現在の設計製図としてのCADのあり方ではなく、デザインを支援するエスキスツールとしてのあり方が求められています(A&A HomePageより）。左の作品はVectorWorksのプラグイン「イクケイ」を使用し作成したもので、その可能性を模索するコンテストで優秀賞をいただいた作品です。
