| Nikiforov who was expected to take the lead of the backs, will miss the opening match of the J.league season after having an operation for his left knee reverse side cartilage damage in the hospital in Kawaguchi-city yesterday, the newspaper said today. He had caused a pulled muscle twice on the left thigh reverse side on the last season, so he was adjusting carefully with another menu from the training-begining. But he said to the persons concerned that have a sense of incongruity in the reverse side of a left knee in the training camp. The boss Guido said, ''Even if it is short, probably it takes two months until his return. If the worst, may take four months.'' If it is true, it is certain that we have to fight several games of J.league from the opening without him, furthermore Tatsuya, Turio, Yamase and Keita is forced off the opening match because they are in the Japan squad for Athens Games, it makes Guido’s team selection more difficult. |
