| Urawa-city merged with Yono and Omiya on May 1, 2001, and it become "Saitama City " now. "Urawa" remains as a name of an administrative district of Saitama-city. Saitama City is the prefectural capital of Saitama Prefecture in the north of about 30km from Tokyo. Population is about 1,060,000. Besides the Urawa Reds, it is also the home town of the Omiya Ardija(Division2).
